autologinpanel

NOTE: this method does not appear to work when using -ssa on 3.17+

Some use cases have the OA client auto start to a user which has limited security privileges. In these cases, the UI should start without a login dialog, but auto login with a “safe” user and password combination. If the user needs elevated privileges, they can click on the login icon to change user.

For these types of project, it is highly recommended to setup the auto-logout function that takes the UI to a safe panel such as the logo screen.

Attached is a replacement login.pnl panel which resides in the panels/vision folder. For server-side authentication, the login_Standard.pnl resides in the /panels/loginFramework folder.

To use these panels, setup the UI with the following special parameters (complete parameter set is shown)

-p vision/login.pnl,$login:auto,$user:autoStartGuy,$pwd:MyPassword -iconBar -menuBar

The 3.15 version is different and requires on this one file, rename if it you like. It allows only a simple view-only user if it has no password:

-p vision/autologin315.pnl -user SomeGuest: -menuBar -iconBar -style fusion
